How does it feel to be back in school?

As part of our topic ‘Here we are’, we have been talking about how it feels to be back in school.  It was great to hear the children say how much they were enjoying being back in school and how important seeing their friends was to them.  Lots of them talked about missing family and feeling tired too but on the whole the children were pleased to back in school.  My favourite quote of the day was “I’m happy to be black at school because you can learn lots of new things.” I also loved “ I was sad incase no one would play with me but now Bella plays with me and I’m happy.” The children really impressed me with their ability to explain what they had been thinking and feeling starting back at school.
