The children have enjoyed their first week back after the Christmas break. They have all returned ready to do some great learning and have enjoyed the new areas with a winter theme. 

Thanks to all the children who have brought in a home learning challenge.  This weekend I have suggested to the children that they might like to draw a picture of a creature that they think might live on a coral reef.  They could use the picture from the book to give them some ideas.  Look closely…

This week we have been describing the setting from our new book. At first we thought the story would happen in the small, quiet town overlooking the brilliant blue ocean but we have now realised the story is happening beneath the surface of the warm shallow water!

We had a great time at our Christmas party yesterday. We hope the children have a great Christmas and come back in 2020 ready to continue working hard.

Thank you to everyone for supporting Save the children Christmas Jumper Day.

We all enjoyed our Christmas dinner, a huge thank you to Mrs Derwent and all the kitchen staff who work so hard to make a yummy dinner today and every day!

Everyone worked really well as a team to make our bird feeders.  We hope that lots of people want to buy them at the Christmas fair.

The children had a taster session today from Simon Carson to show them what their new after school club will involve.
