Meet the Berserkers!
Viking Berserkers (or berserks) were said to have fought in a trance-like fury, a characteristic which led to the modern English word 'berserk'. Today during Art, we drew our own crazy Berserkers. They are absolutely fantastic and we can't wait to name them next week!

Winter Walk
We went on a walk around school to look for signs of Winter. We found lots of icy leavers and branches. We enjoyed making footprints in the icy grass!
Winter Walk.
We went out on a winter walk and kept our eyes open for signs of winter. It was really cold so when we went back into school we had a hot chocolate to warm us up. What a treat!
The big bird watch.
Our home learning challenge this week is to take part in the big bird watch. To help us with this we have been busy making fat balls for the birds to eat. Please hang it in your garden and encourage your child to watch which birds come to visit.

Today we used dictionaries to find words and to improve our understanding of the text that we are studying. We are getting so much better at locating words in the dictionary.
