The Year One children have been working hard in Maths learning all about measurement. They are experts at comparing length and height and enjoyed learning how to measure length using different non-standard measures. We thought about what the problems with a non standard measurement were and spent time looking at the different scales on a ruler. We have been learning to measure in centimetres with a ruler, it is a very tricky skill! We are going to keep practising though because this is how we will learn and improve.
