How does it feel to be back in school?
As part of our topic ‘Here we are’, we have been talking about how it feels to be back in school. It was great to hear the children say how much they were enjoying being back in school and how important seeing their friends was to them. Lots of them talked about missing family and feeling tired…
Marvellous Maths
Today we were really busy using the practical maths equipment to find different ways of representing numbers. We had to do lots of counting and learnt lots about how we can show the same amount in different ways.
Very Busy Back at School
Very busy on our first day back. We worked hard on our class work and in our challenge areas. Everyone seemed to enjoy their lunch and we all had a great day being back in school. Great job Year One.
Welcome back Year One
Welcome back Year One, and welcome to our class blog. Lots of our super work will be shared on class dojo but we always try to put things on the class blog too so that everyone gets to see all the great work you have been doing. Watch this space to see what we have been getting up to in…

This week there are a lot of sheets and activities for you to choose from so I have put them all here as it is a bit easier to organise them, I think it would be quite confusing all in a list on class dojo, especially if you are using your phone!

Counting the money we raised.
Today we really had to use all of our maths skills to work out how much money we had raised on Friday. We needed to sort the coins, and work out how many we needed of each coin to make £1. We used our ten frames to help us group the money in 10’s to make it easier to count. We were really…
Setting up our jellyfish garden.
Today we worked hard to finish our Jellyfish and put them outside in our jellyfish garden. It was lovely to see them blowing in the wind and to look at the colours in their shadows. We hope that everyone enjoys looking at them as they walk past on their way to school. We hope it helps remind…
Bottle lid mosaic
We decided to try and make something beautiful from all of the plastic bottle lids. We hope that seeing all of the lids will help people to think about how much plastic we use in just one week. We are really looking forward to seeing it up on display. Once again we really appreciated the help…
Raising money to support protecting coral reefs.
We made sea creature biscuits to sell to the rest of the school so that we can adopt a turtle. The WWF help to protect coral reefs and the creatures that live there. Turtles are important to the coral reef ecosystem because they eats the sponges and algae that can overrun a reef. Turtles are an…
